Advertising Policy
How advertising works on DailyOrigin and what we will not run.
The line between editorial and advertising
Advertising is always distinguishable from editorial content. Ads are labelled, visually separated, and never placed so as to be mistaken for navigation, article text or a download button.
Our placement rules
- No advertising above or immediately beneath a headline, before the article has started.
- No advertising on empty, thin, error, search-utility or administrative pages.
- No pop-unders, no interstitials that block the article, no auto-refreshing units.
- Never more advertising area than editorial content on a page.
- Individual articles can have advertising switched off entirely — we do this for sensitive subjects.
What we will not accept
We decline advertising that is misleading, that imitates our editorial design, that targets children, or that promotes content prohibited by our advertising partners' policies.
Sponsored content
Where we publish sponsored material, it carries a "Sponsored" label at the top, names the sponsor, and is excluded from our news feeds. It never appears as independent reporting.
